Overview

The NMSU's Information Technology (IT) Department offers an Equipment Rental Program for main campus students, faculty and staff. This article will walk you through the steps to gain administrative access to your rental laptop. 

Before you begin

First, sign into the laptop with NMSU credentials. It is highly recommended that you sign into Company Portal first, and you must use your NMSU credentials. The steps below require a stable Internet connection.

Procedure


Step 1:

In the search bar type, "Company Portal" and open the app:

Step 2: 
Once in Company Portal select, "Show all" in the Apps section.

Step 3:
Select the app titled, "Promote User to Admin."

 

Step 4:
Select "Install."

 

The laptop will restart once the installation is complete. After signing in, you should have administrative privileges.
