Chamisa Village & VDM (M-P)Residents have the option to connect through Wi-Fi or through the Ethernet port located at the back of their access point device.

1). Connecting through Wi-Fi:
Residents can connect their devices (laptop, tablets, etc) to the Internet in these residence by following the the instructions below:
On the home screen of your computer, navigate to the Wi-Fi icon and click to open network options.
After opening network options, you can select one of the following Internet connection options: AggieAir, AggieGuest or AggieAir-WPA2.
Please note that selecting AggieAir-WPA2 will require you to provide your NMSU credentials in order to connect to the Internet.

2). Connecting through Ethernet (Access Point):
Residents can also connect directly through the Ethernet port located at the back of their service point device.
To complete this set up, you will need to connect your Ethernet cable from your computer to the access point on your device.
After, your computer will automatically be connected to the Internet.

VDM (Q-X) & Cervantes Village Your residence will have one of the following connecting device (router):

Power Adapter

There are two available options to connect to the Internet if you live in Cervantes Village.
Residents of Cervantes can either connect through Wi-Fi or through the Ethernet port located at the back of their router device.

1). Connecting through Wi-Fi:
Power the device (router) with the adapter. Then, turn on the power switch of your router device (located on the rear left side of your device).
On your computer home-screen, locate and click on the Wi-Fi icon on the lower right corner.
You will then be provided with a list of network options to select from. From the options provided, choose network name Zoom-Street-HousingUnit (i.e. VDM-tplink-vdm-s2 & CERVANTES-trendnet-cervantes-j37). After selecting your network, you will be required to provide password information in order to be connected to the Internet (password information can be found on the bottom of your router device).

2). Connecting through Ethernet (Ethernet port at the back of your router):
Residents can also connect directly through the Ethernet port located at the back of their router device.
To complete this set up, you will need to connect your Ethernet cable from your computer to the Ethernet port located at the back of your router.
After, your computer will automatically be connected to the Internet.


Residents of VDM (Q-X) have three available options to connect to the Internet.
Residents can connect through Wi-Fi, through the Ethernet port located at the back of their router device or through the Ethernet port located on the wall of their residence (Wall jack).

1). Connecting through Wi-Fi:
Power the device (router) with the adapter. Then, turn on the power switch of your router device (located on the rear left side of your device).
On your computer home-screen, locate and click on the Wi-Fi icon on the lower right corner.
You will then be provided with a list of network options to select from. From the options provided, choose network name Zoom-Street-HousingUnit (i.e. VDM-tplink-vdm-s2 & CERVANTES-trendnet-cervantes-j37). After, your computer will automatically be connected to the Internet.



3). Connecting through Ethernet (Ethernet port located on the wall of your residence, Wall-jack):
Locate the Ethernet port in your residence.
Then connect your Ethernet cable from the port to your computer.
Your device will then be automatically connected to the Internet.
