Logging into Banner Admin Pages

Overview

This article outlines the steps required when logging in to Banner Admin Pages for the first time, whether accessed through the Banner Admin Pages card on myNMSU or via the direct link.

Procedure


Step 1

From the my.nmsu.edu page, Navigate to the Admin Tools tab and locate the Banner Admin Pages card.

Click Banner Admin to proceed.

Step 2

You may see the following pop-up when opening a Banner page.

Pop-up that reads: Banner-private.nmsu.edu wants to Look for and connect to any device on your local network.

If this occurs, click Allow. The Banner page will then display, and future logins will open Banner pages automatically without the pop-up.

  • However, if you clear your browser history or cache, the pop-up will appear again the next time you access a Banner page after logging in.

 

Note: If you click 'Block', you will see the following error appear:

If this occurs, please clear your browser's history and cache and then close and reopen your browser. Once you have the browser open again, you can go back to Banner and make sure to click 'Allow' on the popup.

Note: If you are using a managed device, your IT support group may have already whitelisted Banner, and the pop-up may not appear.
