Connect- Eduroam Wireless Roaming Access

Overview

The "Eduroam" wireless network is a secure roaming service that can be used on the NMSU campus as well as other participating Universities. Once you have successfully connected to Eduroam, here at NMSU, you will be able to connect to this roaming service while visiting participating University locations.

Procedure


Step 1: Open Wi-Fi Settings

Go to your device’s network settings and click the Wi-Fi icon to view available networks.
From the list, select eduroam.

Step 2: Enter Your Credentials

A connection window will appear. Enter the following details. 

  • Username: Your full NMSU email address. (e.g., username@nmsu.edu)
  • Password: The passphrase you use to log into myNMSU. 

Note: Before you click Join you can also select the box to "Remember this network". This will ensure that when you visit another location that supports eduroam that you will be able to connect. 

 
Step 3: Connect

Click Join (or Connect) to finish. You should now be connected to the eduroam network.
