Overview
myNMSU has a fresh new design that makes it easier for students, staff, and faculty to access resources. The updated interface features a customizable Home Dashboard with important announcements, academic resources, and essential tools to help you do your job. With the new “card” layout, you can easily customize your Home Dashboard to include the tools that are most useful to you. Each card gives you access to a system, website, or tool you need.
Cards are personalized by user role (student, faculty, staff), so you’ll see relevant information based on your role(s). If you have multiple roles, you’ll see cards for each.
Before you begin
Go to my.nmsu.edu and use your NMSU username and password to log in. The first time you log in, pop-up icons will briefly appear to highlight key portal features.

Procedure
After you log in, your Home Dashboard shows cards that give you access to tools, systems, or websites that you can access by clicking on the card.

You can customize which cards are on your Home Dashboard by bookmarking or un-bookmarking cards depending on what you use most. To rearrange the order of cards on your Home Dashboard, click and drag-and-drop a card to your desired position. Or click the three dots on a card, then select Move Forward or Move Backward.

Can't find a card? Locate cards by the Category List or click View All Cards to see all cards available to you.

You can also see the Category List by clicking on the hamburger menu or search All Cards by common keywords.


When you find a card you use often, click on the bookmark icon (shown by the arrow) to save it to your Home Dashboard.

Under My Account, you’ll find two customizable cards — one for your own links and one for a to-do list.
The My Web Links card lets you add an external link you use frequently. Find the My Web Links card, and click Add New Link. Then enter the link title and URL, and click Add.


There is a card that can help you keep track of your important tasks in a to-do list. Find the To-Do List card and click Add New Task. Then enter the task name, reminder me of your choice and click Add.

Use the calendar to help you stay organized. Also, the notification bell alerts you when new cards or features are added.
