Arts and Sciences Business Center

The Arts and Sciences Business Center (ASBC) provides centralized financial services for the College of Arts and Sciences. The center offers various reimbursement and payment forms for employees, students, and vendors. This catalog includes all the business forms used within the College.

Accounts, Passwords and Access

Provides access to online resources and services at NMSU, including centrally managed email, MyNMSU, and digital licenses.

Administrative and Business Systems

Includes Banner, financial and procurement systems, human resources, and student information systems. Services also include data analysis and reporting, integrations, and data management.

Classroom Technology and Research

Includes setup support for classroom video and media devices and high-performance computing, large-scale storage, software/hardware, consulting, and troubleshooting support services.

Communication and Collaboration

Services related to email accounts, email lists, and calendaring, as well as the campus directory and emergency notifications.

Equipment, Software, Computer Labs, and Printing

Computer Lab assistance for faculty & students, assistance with IT purchases, technical assistance for computers hardware and related peripherals, along with desktop software help for faculty and staff.

Information Security

Services and tools that safeguard NMSU’s computing resources and data include desktop configuration, mobile device management, authentication systems, antivirus software, firewalls, and network monitoring.

Network, Voice, and Connectivity

Network services for the campus data network and related systems. Services include analog and digital voice telephone, voicemail, wireless services, and customer voice and data line changes.

Enterprise Project Management

The office spearheads university-wide IT initiatives, managing a dynamic portfolio that encompasses strategic projects, internal IT enhancements, and objectives supporting both academic and business priorities. By providing comprehensive services and expert guidance, the EPMO team ensures seamless alignment with institutional goals, driving innovation and fostering operational excellence throughout the university ecosystem.

Server and Storage Management

Includes application server software, backup of desktops and servers, virtual machines, and cloud computing services.

Web and Hosting Services

Options for building web applications and websites. Includes both campus-supported and self-service  options.

Student Services

We are a one-stop student service center designed to help both undergraduate and graduate students manage the business of going to college. We provide answers and information about admissions, financial aid, registration, bill payment, and student records - all in a single location!
