Overview
This document guides users on how to locate research articles using the NMSU library's database system, which provides access to scholarly materials for academic and research-related purposes.
Procedure
Step 1:
Navigate to http://lib.nmsu.edu/ and select the Database tab from the library menu.
Note: Off-campus users must log in using their NMSU credentials before accessing the database.
Step 2:
Use the dropdown on the right side of the search field to choose from database and discipline categories.
Step 3:
After defining your search term, click on Search.
Step 4:
After searching, you'll be directed to a list of databases relevant to your chosen discipline.
Click the link that aligns best with your topic.
In this example, we selected the Art & Architecture Source database.
Step 5:
Enter your search term in the search field using keywords related to your research topic or the article(s) you're looking for, then click Search.
Note: You can narrow your results by adding more details in the Search Options section below the search fields.
After selecting Search, you'll be directed to the results list.
