Overview
WordPress.nmsu.edu is a Web Hosting service provided by NMSU Information Technology (IT). This article explains how to back up your WordPress database tables safely.
Procedure
Step 1:
Visit dashboard of site (i.e https://inside.nmsu.edu/afr/wp-admin/). If you do not have access to the site – request access from Business Solutions group.
Step 2:
While on the dashboard – select “TablePress” on the side menu.
Step 3:
From here select “Export” from the top menu.
Step 4:
On the “Export Tables” menu use the following format:
Tables to Export = *name of table to be exported*
Export Format = “CSV Character-Separated Values”
CSV Delimiter = “, (comma)”
Step 5:
Select “Download Export File” – continue this for each available table in the “Tables to Export” field.
Step 6:
Once you have exported all tables for a site – navigate to “R:\Wordpress Table Backup” on Finsys share drive & move all of the .csv files you have collected into the appropriate site folder.
