Overview

This article helps you find the MAC address on gaming consoles and smart devices for network registration. Every device, from computers and smartphones to streaming devices, has a unique MAC address that allows it to be recognized on Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks. 

Procedure

Follow the steps below to find the MAC address of your game console or streaming device.
A valid MAC address is twelve hexadecimal numbers, typically separated by colons (e.g., 01:23:4D:67:B9:0A).

Nintendo Consoles

Nintendo Switch

 
  1. From the Home screen, select  System Settings > Internet (left side of the screen). 
  2. The MAC Address will be displayed on the right side of the screen directly after "System MAC Address".

 

Sony Consoles

PlayStation 3

  1. From the main menu, select Settings > System Settings > System Information. 
  2. The MAC Address will then be displayed on the screen.

 

PlayStation 4

  1. From the main menu, go to Settings > System > System Information. 
  2. The MAC Address will be listed next to MAC Address.

 

PlayStation 5

  1. From the main menu, go to Settings > System > Console Information.
  2. The MAC Address will be listed next to MAC Address.

 

Microsoft Consoles

Xbox One

  1. From the home menu, go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings. 
  2. The MAC Addresses for the wired and wireless adapters should be displayed.
 

Streaming Devices

Apple TV

  1. From the main menu, go to Settings > About. 
  2. Your MAC Address will be listed next to "Wi-Fi Address" or "Ethernet Address," depending on your internet connection. 

Chromecast

  1. Open the Google Home app. 
  2. Tap and hold your Chromecast's tile. 
  3. Got to Settings > Device Information. 
  4. MAC address will be under "Technical information". 

Roku

  1. From the main menu, select Settings > Network > About. 
  2. Your MAC Address will be listed next to "Wi-Fi Address" or "Ethernet Address," depending on your internet connection.

Note: Guest Wi-Fi will not work for these devices.
