Matlab - Download and Install

Overview

The Matlab software is available for download to any current NMSU student and can be accessed both on and off campus.

About this task

This document will assist you on how to download and install Matlab both on and off campus.
Note: To access Matlab from outside the campus network (anywhere off campus or on a personal computer) you will need to download and install the Cisco Virtual Private Network (VPN) client. VPN Instructions can be found here VPN Instructions
 
To download and install Matlab, complete the steps below:

Procedure

Step 1:
Click on Link and "Sign in to get started ".
 
Step 2:
Sign in with your NMSU Username and Passphrase.
Note: You will have to use the password you created for the Matlab account.

Step 3:
To download Matlab an account is required, if you already have an account click on "Sign in to existing Mathwork account" to proceed, if you do not have an account click on "Create a Mathwork Account".
Note: for this instruction we selected Create a Mathwork Account.

Step 4:
Create your Mathwork account by completing the fields below.
After check the online service agreement box and click on Create.

Step 5:
On the top right corner of the Mathwork Account page, click on the download icon.

Step 6:
Then, select from the "download options", your preferred Matlab version.

Step 7:
Select the appropriate OS to begin download.

Step 8:
After your download is complete, navigate to the download folder to locate installer
Note: Mac users will have to expand the download file before starting the installation process.

Step 9:
Double click on installation file to begin installation wizard.
Note:When prompted to sign in, please use your NMSU email and the password you created for the Mathworks account.

 

Step 10:
Under Licensing, select "Individual License" option, then click Next.

Step 11:
Complete installation prompts and click Next.
 
Step 12:
Click Finish to complete installation process.
