Distribution Email Groups

What Is It?

Distribution Email Group make it easy to send emails to a predefined group of recipients using a single email address.

They are commonly used for department announcements, updates, or internal communications within organizations, departments, or project teams. 

Note: This is a one-way communication. You can send to the list, but you cannot send from it. 

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

Only NMSU staff may request the creation of Distribution Email Group for departmental or organizational use (one-way communication). 

Faculty, staff, and students may request to be added to an Email Lists through the Service Catalog (two-way communication). 

How Do I Get Started?

Click the  Request Distribution Email Group button above to submit your request.

Provide your name, department, and any details that will help us process it efficiently. 

How Much Does It Cost?

There is no cost to create or maintain a Distribution Email Group for departmental or organizational use.
