Alternative Work Arrangements

What Is It?

This service provides support for employees and supervisors who need to complete an Alternative Work Arrangement (AWA). The AWA form captures a shared understanding of an employee’s remote, hybrid, or flexible work arrangement for record-keeping purposes only. It is not a contract, does not change the terms of employment, and cannot be used for disability-related accommodations. Each arrangement is determined by departmental needs and must end no later than June 30 of the current fiscal year.

How Do I Get Started?

Complete the Alternative Work Arrangement (AWA) Form

You will be prompted to provide your name, department, and details about your request. Please include any relevant circumstances or additional information that may help us address your question or concern.

The AWA form must be signed by both the employee and the supervisor and may not extend beyond June 30th of the fiscal year. For remote or telework arrangements, the primary work location address must be included.
