What Is It?
This service allows employees to submit benefit forms and required documentation to enroll in or change benefits, including insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA) , retirement elections, and other benefit options. Once Benefit Services receives the completed form and supporting documentation, enrollment is routed to the appropriate administrators for processing (e.g., medical/dental, payroll deductions, retirement plans).

Deadlines

Benefit Enrollment/Waiver Forms and FSA forms must be submitted within 31 days of hire or qualifying life event (All applicable supporting documentation is required with form).

ARP enrollment must be submitted within 90 days of hire.

ARP 7-year switch to NMERB defined benefit plan must be submitted within 120 days of eligibility.

Voluntary retirement Salary Reduction Agreements must follow Payroll Processing Deadlines.

There is no cost to submit benefit forms. However, benefit selections may affect payroll deductions and taxable income depending on the type of benefit.
