What Is It?
High Performance Computing (HPC) refers to a cluster of interconnected computers, known as nodes, that work together to process large or complex computational tasks. The nodes communicate using InfiniBand for high-speed data transfer. This service allows users to request access to NMSU's HPC cluster, Discovery.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
The High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster is free to use for current students, faculty, and staff for both research and teaching. Non-NMSU users sponsored by NMSU faculty or staff are also eligible to request an account on NMSU’s HPC cluster.
