Mac: Log In with NMSU Credentials

Overview

This article will walk you through the steps to log in to an NMSU-owned Mac computer using your NMSU credentials.
Make sure your device is connected to the NMSU network before logging in.

Procedure


Step 1: Connect to the Internet

  1. Make sure your Mac is connected to the Internet.

  2. Click the Internet (Wi-Fi) icon on the top-right corner of your Mac screen.

    • When connected, the Wi-Fi icon should appear white.

  1. Once connected, the login screen should appear as shown below:

Step 2: Refresh the Network Connection (if the login screen doesn't appear)

  1. If the login screen doesn't appear, click the computer icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

  1. Then click the refresh icon next to it.

  1. After refreshing, the correct login screen should display:

Step 3: Log In

  1. On the login screen, enter your NMSU username and password
  2. Make sure you are on the correct login screen, as shown below:

  1.  Do not attempt to log in from this local screen:

Troubleshooting

Restart your Mac, then reconnect to Wi-Fi once it powers back on. The correct NMSU login screen should display automatically.
