What Is It?

A shared mailbox is best for managing a single inbox (such as a department or role-based email) that multiple people need to read and reply to.

If you need to receive and respond to emails from one shared address, request a shared mailbox. If you need to send messages to a group of people, request an email list.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

Faculty and staff within a department are eligible to request a shared mailbox for departmental use. Access may only be granted to users within the same department or NMSU–affiliated faculty and staff.

How Do I Get Started?

Click the  Request Shared Mailbox button above to submit a ticket.

You will be asked to supply your name, department, and the requested mailbox name.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is no cost to request or create a shared mailbox at NMSU.
