What Is It?

This service allows departments to purchase and own mobile devices which may be loaned temporarily to individual employees. This device is University property and will be used by the employee for University business purposes only.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

All internal (IT) and external personnel whose responsibilities require them to assume on-call responsibilities as part of the job requirements are eligible to participate in this service. The Business Affairs Policy for university-owned mobile devices can be found here: https://fbs.nmsu.edu/bpm/bpm-9.html

How Do I Get Started?

The University Owned Mobile Device Service Form is required to request the use of university-owned mobile communication devices. All mobile device service requests should be submitted to the Aggie Service Desk for approval. If you do not have access to the Aggie Service Desk, you will need to request access through the Aggie Service Desk drop-down menu. Once your request has been approved, you will be contacted via email to confirm before any orders are placed. Any questions regarding Verizon mobile devices and service plans can be emailed to TechPurchaseOrders@nmsu.edu.

How Much Does It Cost?

Requests made are subject to activation and monthly service plan fees, device and accessories fees, surcharges, and taxes. Please note all Verizon device promotions are subject to an offer recovery pricing agreement based on a 2-year contract.
