Software Request

What Is It?

This service allows users to request software purchases for department-owned computers or to obtain enterprise and volume software licenses for university use. Requests can be made for individual, departmental, or campus-wide needs. In some cases, software purchases for personal or remote use may also be approved.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

NMSU faculty and staff are eligible to use this service. 

How Do I Get Started?

Click the  Request Software button above to submit a ticket. 

You will be asked to to enter your name, department, rationale for your request, and other details about the software requested. 

How Much Does It Cost?

Costs vary based on the software and level of access requested. Software provided is owned by the manufacturer and the license is owned by the University or individual.
