Network Connection

What Is It?

This service provides support for:

  • Installing one or more data cables to enable network connectivity for new or existing devices
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting network connection issues for campus devices, including Wi-Fi and wired (Ethernet) connections on computers, laptops, tablets, and gaming consoles. 
Who Is Eligible to Use It? 

NMSU faculty and staff are eligible to request this service. 

How Do I Get Started?

Select the appropriate option above:

  • Click the "Port Activation"  button to request installation of network data cables.
  • Click the "Troubleshooting Connection" button to request help diagnosing and resolving network issues for campus devices. 

When submitting your request, please include your name, department, and all relevant details to assist in resolving your issue.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is generally no cost for network troubleshooting assistance unless specified by a department IT unit.
