What Is It?

This service provides assistance to users who require installation of one or more data cables for network connectivity for new or existing devices. This service also helps users diagnose and troubleshoot Network Connection issues on specific campus devices, including Wi-Fi and direct Ethernet devices like computers, laptops, tablets, and gaming consoles.

Who Is Eligible to Use It? 

NMSU faculty and staff are eligible to request assistance installing one or more data cables for network connectivity for new or existing devices and/or help diagnosing and troubleshooting Network Connection issues on specific campus devices,

How Do I Get Started?

Click the "Port Activation" button above to request assistance installing one or more data cables for network connectivity for new or existing devices or click the "Troubleshooting Connection" button above to request assistance with diagnosing and troubleshooting Network Connection issues for campus devices. You will be prompted to enter your name, department, and full details of your ticket, including any appropriate circumstances or supplementary information that may aid in resolving it.

How Much Does It Cost?

All fees and recurring charges associated with the installation and operation of the campus data network and related service offerings are listed here. There is generally no fee for requesting assistance with diagnosing and troubleshooting Network Connection issues unless required by a department-specific IT unit.
