What Is It?
This service partners technical resources with business users and subject matter experts (SME) to develop and maintain analytic and reporting solutions to answer business questions. These solutions are primarily accessible to central administrative offices and the NMSU community through NMSU Analytics (Powered by Cognos). Other services include ad-hoc reporting, data model development, and administration and end-user support for NMSU Analytics, operational data store (ODS), and the university's data warehouse.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
Academic and administrative departments at NMSU are eligible to utilize this service for the sake of developing reporting solutions to support operations and strategic decision-making.
How Do I Get Started?
Read and familiarize yourself with the NMSU Analytics - Apply for Access to Academic Data in NMSU Analytics (also linked in sidebar under Related Articles) that explains how to request access to academic data in NMSU Analytics. If you have further questions before opening a request, please contact cognos_help@nmsu.edu.
To open a new Data, Reporting and Analytics service only request, click the "Request Service" button above. You will be prompted to enter a request title, report type, business domain, answer the question is your request for a new report, or a change to an existing report, a description of report or change needed, data steward sign off, due date and option attachments to include any supplementary information that may aid in the service request.
